Miracle girl Sally
Shangrilah Sally was a complete surprise as we thought her dam, Birrong Swan Song, couldnt have babies but gave birth to her first, Sally, at 8 years old. Sally was not even 4kg at birth but is a survivor. Her sire is Surilana Donaldo.

Very pleased with how Sally is coming along after her tiny start. The rainy day does not show off her fleece at its best but can still see the lustre despite the dull day and given she does not like photo shoots.
Moonshine shining!
Alcazar Moonshine S20 is special boy for his dam Alcazar Octavia S14 as she lost her first 2 cria in different circumstances. Moonshine holds promise fir his future. His sire is our Cedar House Moonflute.

Alcazar Moonshine is developing into a chip off the old block of his sire. He has inherited his beautiful conformation, wedge head and already likes the ladies, very regularly seen playing mummies and daddies!!

Dozing with Mama
Shangrilah Raja was born on a lovely spring day October 2015. His dam is Shangrilah Madame Marigold and his father Cedar House Excalibar 2. A very lustrous young man.

Raja is developing in to a big boy and has tremendous lustre with a silky smooth handle. The most wicked cria we have ever had, incessantly trying to play Mummies and Daddies with both the other cria and adult females.
Shangrilah Raja 7 months
Raja is a good quality BC1 (2nd cross) suri with a particularly nice fleece. We do not breed with males that are crosses, so Raja is destined to be a wether, but we will none the less be interested to see his fleece stats later in the year.
Joyce Lilian off and running
We just cant seem to dilute the fawn in this female line.None the less we welcomed Joyce Lillian late November 2015. Her sire is our Knight in White Satin and her dam Shangrilah Paricia.

Shangrilah Joyce Lilian has some very nice suri qualities given she is only a BC2, tremendous lustre and independant locking, a male to develop the locking structure will be put over her in future.
Shangrilah Hans
Hans arrived on 22/11/15 after a lengthy gestation of 378 days. His dam is Jingana Frejas Jewel and his sire Alcazar Beowulf S24. Hans is a BC2 or 3rd cross suri.

Hans is developing into quite a nice looking suri with a lovely fleece that has greasy lustre. A shame she is not a she so we could breed on with this one, but alas, as a BC2 male we will not be breeding with him.
Soldier 1 week old
So glad to have this boy after a very rough start but he won the biggest battle we hope he ever has to face after a bad birth position. His dam is Elysion Serendipity and his sire Pinjarra El Nino.

So pleased with how this young fellow has come along after his hard start. He is developing in to a muscular stocky young male with some very good fleece characteristics.
Boxing day 2015 baby Garrin
Shangrilah Garrin is our Christmas baby for the year, his dam La Boheme seems to edge around Christmas with her last being born Christmas Eve. Garrin's sire is our co owned male Birrong Knight in White Satin.

Garrin is a cheeky young boy, he is a BC1 or 2nd cross suri so hopefully he finds future work as a guardian when old enough.
welcome Summer Rain
Our last cria for 2015, Alcazar Summer Rain S36 arrived on 28/12/15 and she is a beauty, weighed in at over 9kg. Her first time mother Alcazar Trademark Rain S10 just loves her and is very proud.

Alcazar Sabado S30 is our first cria for 2016 and arrived on 2/01/2016.His dam is Alcazar Luna S20 and his sire Alcazar Domingo S8. He is a very long legged tall cria.

a space age welcome to Aldrin
Shangrilah Aldrin had a bit of a slow start, first cria ever we have had that took a few days to find the milk bar so started with the bottle.His dam is Bellawood Delta 2 and his sire Sanchavel owned Summerhill Silken Zonzo. Aldrin is a BC4 suri.
Alexis with her Mummy soon after birth
Shangrilah Alexis was born on the 11/01/16 to first time mother Shangrilah Antoinette. Another new addition born with great lustre, we do very well with this trait. Alexis Dad is our Knight in White Satin.
Our first ever evening arrival
Shangrilah Sweetheart, pictured here with her dam Jolimont Corazon, arrived late in the evening, but thankfully a text book birth. Sweetheart has a beautiful stance already, her sire is Pinjarra El Nino.

Jean Genie 16/01/2016
Shangrilah Jean Genie was born the week David Bowie passed away, so being a big fan named this little girl in tribute to him. Her dam is first time mummy Shangrilah Dolce Musica and her sire is our co owned Surilana Donaldo.
China Girl on her day of birth
China Girl was also born on 16/01/15. so also named in honour of David Bowie. China Girl was very quick to take off around the paddock with her dam Shangrilah Haddarah hotly persuing her. Her sire is our Birrong Knight in White Satin.

Karissa is a pretty girl who arrived at 5:30pm on 1/02/16. Her mother is one of our original foundation girls, Mousehole Hepzibah. Our co owned male, Knight in White Satin, is Karissa's father.

Shangrilah Aquamarine is a solid white pure suri out of first time Mummy Shangrilah Amethyst and Summerhill Silken Zonzo who is owned by Sanchavel Alpacas. Aquamarine has been born with exceptional lustre.

Shangrilah Alexandros is our last cria for the 2015/16 summer drop, but the first cria for Esterlina Gathradonna. We purchased Gathradonna at foot with her dam Jingana Athene. Alexandros Sire is Summerhill Silken Zonzo, owned by Sanchavel Alpacas and a multiple champion.

This shot does not show Angelica's good fleece qualities due to the rainy day but she has fabulous lustre and a nice locking style, a good quality pure suri female we ill be keeping.

Welcome Capricorn
Shangrilah Capricorn, pictured here on his day of birth late March 2015, is another of those very bright whites with pink points, just what we like. His sire is The Duke of Ridge Gully and his dam is Shangrilah Ivory Star.

Doryanthes was born in late April 2015, her sire is Cedar House Moonflute and her dam Birrong Acacia. She is a BC2 or 2rd generation suri. She has fabulous conformation and as can be seen in the shot, stood proud and tall from day 1.
