Shangrilah from the air
Our property is situated in the foreground of the photo, it extends in a rectangle out of shot to the right. In the background is Copeton Dam, 3 times the size of Sydney Harbour when full.

Aussie
Aussie is our border collie, one of our 2 dogs. He loves farm life and is always ready for action. His favoutite activities include running about the place after the quad, or going for rides in the old farm ute.

Our first alpacas
We were just going to purchase 2 wethers. Next thing we knew we had Lady Rose, a chocolate brown huacaya, and then came Peta, a dark fawn F1 suri; both came pregnant and with cria at foot. Thus the addiction commenced.............

November 09
This is the scene we came home to on a scorching hot windy day on the 19th November 2009.Something we never want to experience again, but will always remain a risk.Approx 60% of our farm was burnt out but thankfully none of our stock were harmed.

View from the kitchen window
This shot was taken on the first night ( the fire lasted 4 days with some logs and trees continuing to burn for weeks)of the fire. The RFS did a terrific backburn to stop the fire coming any further over the hill to the west of our house.

Arietta
Arietta ( with son Aubade at rear resting)was one of our first white suri purchases and she has the biggest character on the place! Whilst not one of the herd matriarchs, she is the biggest pig and has the most out there pesonality.

lorikeet
This very attractive small lorikeet is a special visitor at Shanghrilah. He and 2 others have taken up residence in the last month and are feasting on our prolifically fowering bottle brushes. It is rare to see this type of lorikeet out of its coastal rainforest habit.

Our gaggle of geese
The geese are part of the menagerie on our farm. They are supposed to live in our orchard but every now and then they make an escape, here they are not so secretly heading to our pond.

Marcel, the boy in our logo graphic.
Marcel is one of the best progeny produced by our sire Tradie. Marcel had a very good show quality first fleece, especially for a BC1. His dam, La Boheme is proving one of our best girls, with a consistently fine fleece, she is also the mother of Antoinette.
